We are delighted to welcome the return of the hugely popular Run Frimley on Sunday 5th May 2024. The event has always attracted a strong community following with over 1,200 people taking part year on year. Following the success of 2023, the event is comprised of a closed Road 5K and 10K race, which includes a brand-new loop for 2024 (10K only) and features chip timing for all participants, to improve your overall running experience and safety. Our challenging hilly, yet consistent running surfaced routes will also have dedicated cheer points to help push you along and give you that added boost you may need along the way. Back by popular demand, we also have our 1 mile ‘colour’ fun run for all the family to take part in, featuring exciting paint and bubble zones!

NEW to 2024! We are excited to announce the launch of The Lenovo Village, with an amazing range of stalls, there really is something for everyone. To keep the little one’s entertained, there will be face painters, activities, local businesses and more. The whole event will also be complimented by music, plenty of stalls to browse around and many delicious caterers to enjoy. All carefully handpicked to ensure our guests have the best day possible!
The course will stay within the grounds of the event village which means everyone can watch and cheer loudly to all those taking part. What is even more exciting is that we are making this event super colourful, but we will need your help with this too! They’ll be powdered paint and bubbles for all the runners to enjoy and embrace as you run together. Where we need your help is to add even more colour! We want to see the wackiest, craziest, and the most colourful runners we have ever seen!
As we want the whole family to be able to take part together, we are also giving free entry to the fun run to anyone who takes part in either the 10k or 5k race. The 10k and 5k race will start and finish before the start of the fun run, so we don’t add any tired legs to the main event – now you have no excuse! Please note, there will be a limited number of medals available for this route. So, bring the colour, bring the laughter and most of all, bring the fun!
The day will start with the 10k at 09:30am followed by the 5k at 09:45am and then finally the fun run at 11:30am. Please stick around post event to enjoy the event village and congratulate those at the trophy presentation around midday. *Cut off: Please note, anyone out on the 5K & 10K route after 11.30am will be picked up by our sweeper vehicle.
All routes are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.*
Entry for the 10K is £22.00, £17.00 for the 5K and £12.00 for the Fun Run.
A £36 family entry (2 adults & 2 children) will also be available for the Fun Run.
5K & 10K entry fee includes: exciting routes, bespoke medal, chip timing, free entry into the Fun Run, refreshments, event village and more!
Remember, you can secure a free entry charity place just by pledging to raise £50.00 prior to the event. You will receive a free running top of your choice and post-event massage. In December 2022 Brooke’s Nephew Vincenzo was born earlier than expected: “I cannot begin to imagine myself what the days, weeks and months ahead would have been like, but what I do know, is, the Neonatal Unit at Frimley Hospital supported Claudia, Sam and little Vincenzo on a road to recovery, allowing them to finally take their little soldier home. In honour of the amazing care and support they gave to those close to my heart I felt honoured to run and give back raising £2610 for the Neonatal Unit that cared for Vincenzo” – Brooke

Please note, our new route is an entirely closed road run and anyone out on the 5K & 10K route after 11.30am will be collected in our sweeper vehicle. Both routes are also buggy & wheelchair accessible, however if you would like to get in touch with our Event Manager to find out more, please email your contact details to fhft.events@nhs.net
Please bring a water bottle which you’ll be able to refill at the event village. Because we want to be as sustainable as possible, we will not be providing plastic water bottles at this event. We will have water points along the 5km and 10km route where we will have recyclable cups.
Make sure you bring your race number that would have been sent to you in the post. If you’ve signed up closer to the event date, we will have race numbers which you can collect from the event village.
For the 10km route, children must be 15 years of age or over to take part. For the 5km route, children must be 13 years of age or over to take part. Children (under the age of 16) MUST be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over AT ALL TIMES. For the Fun Run there are no age restrictions for participation but under-9s MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You will have access to the car parks and an additional parking field at Frimley Lodge Park. The car parks are a short 2-minute walk away from the entrance to the event arena located at the far-left field behind the café/pavilion. Maps will be sent out to all runners ahead of the event.
Once all of the hard work and excitement of your fundraising event or activity is over, you will need to send the money you have raised to us as soon as possible so that it can start helping patients feel even better right away. We recommend that you do this no later than 4-6 weeks after your event.
