Marketing & Communications Officer

Salary: Band 4 (£26,405 – £28,976 per year including HCAS) pro rata, depending on experience.

Location: Frimley based but with cross-site working (with some flexibility for hybrid working)

Job Type: 37.5 hours per week, 3-4 days in the office.

Reporting directly to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will work on internal and external communications for the charity and provide support to the Marketing & Communications Manager on all communication matters, internally and externally, with a view to enhancing the charity’s reputation and engagement. You will play a key role in implementing the digital communications strategy to maximise the charity’s on-line presence and to ensure the structure, design and content of the website supports the charity’s marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies.

ABOUT YOU:
• Experience of using digital communication channels & tools including social media.
• Dynamic, self-motivated person who can work unsupervised whilst also being a team player.
• A passion for marketing and communications with proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely to tight deadlines for a variety of audiences with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate with donors and staff.
• Careful judgment in formulating the tone and content of communications.

Senior Supporter Care Officer

Salary: Band 5 (£29,828 – £36,311 per year with HCAS) pro rata, depending on experience.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will deliver the highest level of customer care to supporters and responding to enquiries via post, email, and telephone. Alongside this you will be responsible for financial processing – ensuring income is captured correctly on our database, Beacon, maintaining the quality of information available. This role will involve working as a key member of a busy supporter care team helping to maintain and drive fundraising growth across several income streams, achieved by ensuring the best possible supporter experience for all our donors.

ABOUT YOU:
• Experience of providing excellent customer service, including managing conflicting priorities and consistently meeting Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
• Experience of handling complex queries and complaints, remaining professional and acting in line with appropriate policies and procedures. With an understanding of when to escalate to management.
• Experience in using your own initiative to identify and solve problems that arise, in line with relevant processes, policies and procedures. With an understanding of when to escalate to management.
• Excellent IT skills including the MS Office suite and demonstrable proficiency in the use of Customer Relationship Management databases.
• Proven organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills with the ability to deliver to a deadline under pressure within a context of competing demands.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate with donors and staff.
