Thank you to all those that donated to Mr Radja’s memorial – raising over £1600 – resulting in a Frimley Health Charity and ENT department staff photography competition, with a brief to creatively capture, and be inspired by, the subject of ‘JOY’.
We were delighted to receive nearly 40 wonderful images from different roles across the trust including Administrators, Theatre Medical Devices Coordinator and Clinical Psychologist. A panel of 11 judges including Mr Radja’s wife, Neelem, Daan and Kath from Windlesham and Camberley Camera Club as well as Jane, Head of Art at Farnborough College of Technology had the tricky task of selecting just 6 images to exhibit within the ENT department.
“I feel the exhibited photos look stunning and am impressed at the hidden talents in the hospital staff. All submissions of such high standard”! Said Philippa Huchzermeyer, ENT consultant and colleague of Mr Radja.
The exhibition was unveiled in January this year with a wonderful prize-giving presentation event attended by consultants and staff along with winners receiving their prizes.
Neelam said “I found the event very moving. It was good to remember Mohan with his colleagues who loved him nearly as much as I do and miss him a great deal”.
“A project that shows the hospital charity works so well with creative arts, being able to deliver a project that really makes a difference to so many. Staff are involved within their own hospital surrounding, patients distracted from the waiting room, colour and enrichment for the viewer, it goes on”.
Emma Carr, the Arts Manager added; “each and every one of the photographers should feel proud of their artistic value and what they have achieved. ‘Working together’ is just one of the trust values, and these particular projects really achieve the objective.
Well done once again to everyone that took part and supported this project for Frimley Health Arts!
