Tucked just off the Main Entrance of Frimley Park Hospital, Café Glade has long served as a cherished spot for staff, patients, and visitors alike. Open nearly every day of the year (360 days!), the café offers a warm, inviting environment to relax, recharge, and connect.
Recently, Café Glade has expanded its support for the hospital community with the introduction of a dedicated, semi-private space for the hardworking Bed Management Team – the round-the-clock team that keeps patient flow running smoothly. This quiet corner, complete with its own patio, provides a much-needed haven for moments of rest and reflection.
Thanks to the generous support of the Farnborough Airport Environmental Grant Fund, the café’s outdoor area has undergone a beautiful transformation. With refurbished seating, brand-new umbrellas, and eco-friendly upgrades like recyclable bins and accessible seating, the patio has become a bustling social hub – especially on sunny days, when every seat is filled with staff enjoying a well-earned break.
The refreshed outdoor space doesn’t just support people -it’s also becoming a small sanctuary for local wildlife. From the thoughtful design to its inclusive features, this enhancement has been met with pride by all who use it.
We are incredibly grateful to the Farnborough Airport Environmental Grant Fund for helping us enhance this vital space. Café Glade continues to be more than just a café – it’s a cornerstone of comfort and well-being at Frimley Park Hospital.
