The Leeds Half Marathon is Yorkshire’s biggest and probably loudest event of its kind. The much-loved run raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year and often attracts more than 7,500 runners. But what makes it special is the crowds. Support for runners along the route is always phenomenal, whatever the weather. Every participant will get a boost from the words of encouragement they receive.
Former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019. Since then, Rob and his family have campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support other families living with MND, and the Leeds Marathon encompasses just that. This is an event that truly is for everyone, so whether you are an experienced runner or have never thought about running an event before, they welcome all abilities to join together for this very special event.
Charity Places for the Half & Marathon are available at a HUGELY discounted rate of just £20 (Half) & £30 (Marathon) with a minimum fundraising pledge of £300 (Half) and £400 (Marathon).
Please note, we have a limited number of places available on a first come first serve basis.
As a fundraiser of FHC, you will be supported throughout your challenge event preparations. Our Events Team will be on-hand to encourage you with your fundraising, support you with your training, answer any questions you may have and to thank you for all your hard work and support!

We would be incredibly privileged if you chose to run for Frimley Health Charity. Every day, fundraisers like you are having a direct impact on improving our patients lives. By choosing to fundraise for us, we are able to invest in state-of-the-art medical equipment, make major improvements to hospital areas for patients and staff and fund specialist training and research at a time when it has never been needed more, and for that we thank you!
Here’s our ‘Perfect Fundraising Page’ and ‘Top 10 Fundraising Tips’ resources to get you started!
You can also download our printable ‘I’m running for’ and ‘I’m running in memory of…’ t-shirt signs!
“At the age of 35, I suffered a significant stroke which left me unable to speak, walk or write. This was a major concern and fright for, not only myself, but my friends and family. I was cared for by Frimley Park Hospital and given initial consultations and physiotherapy by the amazing Doctors, as well as being so well cared for by the nurses there. All FPH staff were so conscientious and considerate of my situation. The care they gave to me and my loved ones is something I will never ever forget and being able to raise money for Frimley Health Charity is only a small way in which I can express my gratitude.”
If you’ve secured your own place in this event and would like to fundraise for us, we would be incredibly grateful. It’s free to do so, and all we ask is that you raise what you can to help us improve our hospital services and the lives involved.

Once all of the hard work and excitement of your fundraising event is over, we'd be grateful if you could send the money you have raised to us as soon as possible. This is so we can start helping patients feel even better right away. We recommend you do this no later than 4-6 weeks after your event.
