Community raises £830,000 for Breast Care Appeal in three years

4 December 2015

Over 100 people at risk of developing breast cancer or currently undergoing treatment visit Frimley Park every week for diagnosis and care.

Thanks to you, they are a step closer to having their own dedicated breast care unit and 3D mammography machine to help diagnose cancer earlier. The outpouring of support from the community for this ambitious project has been overwhelming.

The hospital and the charity would like to thank the huge number of breast cancer survivors, community groups, companies, families, runners, cyclists and hospital staff who have come together to fundraise £830,000 for the appeal since it was launched in October 2013. we have reached our target of £750,000 by October 2016 and the hospital is matching every £1 donated to provide a total of £1.5 million for the new unit and cutting edge equipment.
