The work has gone on to really help the mood of staff and aid communication for so many. Ana Coelho, the critical care matron, welcomed some of the staff back along with Emma Carr, the Arts and Creative Health Manager who project managed this great project for the official opening on 28th November.
The initiative is a first at Wexham Park Hospital and a trust wide wellbeing project. Staff across the trust were encouraged to enter photos that represented our multicultural unit at Wexham Park Hospital. Any member of staff, or volunteer could enter and 14 were chosen for the exhibition to fill the corridor with colour, thought and emotion.
Ana went on to say; that the photographs were beautiful and had turned the corridor around into one that the unit are proud of.
An official cutting of the ribbon and tea and cake with the photographers resulted in the celebration of wonderful project.
Emma added that each and every one of the photographers should feel proud of what they have achieved and to have a piece of their work in their hospital that will go on to help others wellbeing as well as their own.
Well done once again to everyone that took part and supported the first project of this kind for Frimley Health Arts!
