Buddhist Community raises £1,100

The wonderful people from The Buddhist Community Centre based in Aldershot wanted to raise money for Frimley Park Hospital as a gesture during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The community donated money raising funds on the auspicious occasion of 2564th birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha (Buddha Jayanti) celebration.

Robin Gurung said:

“On the 7th May, our community celebrated the birthday virtually from all over the world.  Our resident teacher performed a day long rituals in the monastery”.

Keith Hanks, Fundraising Manager said:

“This is another fantastic example of the community supporting their local hospital. I would like to pass on my personal thanks to the Buddhist community for their incredible support and making me feel so welcome at their temple.  Funds will go towards a number of projects to support our staff.
