Made Race Wexham a huge success

Made Race Wexham a huge success

Wexham Park Hospitals inaugural event, Race Wexham, at Royal Windsor Racecourse for Monday Night Racing proved to be a wonderful experience for all that attended and surpassed our expectations.

Basked in beautiful sunshine and set in beautiful surroundings in our riverside marquee the event this year managed to raised £30,000 in vital funds for the Children’s Critical Care Appeal, an amazing achievement and truly overwhelming.

We couldn’t have done it without the generosity of everyone who supported us during the evening – from buying tickets, bidding in the auction, and putting pounds in our donation buckets. We especially want to thank Barratt Homes, Coinford and BDL for their race sponsorship and help on the evening, along with everyone that donated prizes for the raffle and auction including a number of prizes from Stoke Park.

130 special guests were able to enjoy a prosecco reception and two course dinner, listen to two very emotive speeches as to why the children’s critical care appeal is so important, gain valuable and profitable insight from our resident tipster for the evening Colin Brown, take home some wonderful auction items including a meal at home cooked at their home for 8 people by a Michelin starred chef and finish it all by rocking out to live music by Mercury Q, an award winning Queen tribute band. What a night Race Wexham was with everyone heading home with smiles on their faces. Overall it was a tremendous success and thank you to everyone who took part.
