Local company, Maersk fundraised for a retro arcade games table

Maersk based in Maidenhead, raised over a £1000 to buy a new retro games table in our Children’s Clinic at Wexham Park Hospital

We are proud to become the charity of the year at Maersk, who’s first ‘mission’ was to raise money to buy a retro arcade game after a teenage patient who regularly visits the clinic, asked to have something age related to take his anxiety and worries off his appointments.  The ward asked Maersk to help with the project and they set about a Christmas appeal – raising over £1000!

Rebecca from Maersk said;

“As a business we look for charities that share our values. We wanted to support a local based charity.  Our Maidenhead office, by popular choice, selected Wexham Park Children’s Ward as our nominated charity”.

Rebecca added;

“The Christmas Appeal was a perfect way to kick start our fundraising and spread some Maersk Christmas Spirit. It meant so much to everyone who donated, that we could fulfil the Christmas wish of the children, by gifting the games table to the ward.  We are looking forward to supporting the Children’s Ward throughout the year and helping to make a difference to the children using the hospitals facilities.

Thank you once again to all of you at Maersk, the games table is such an asset and really makes a difference to the children…it is great fun too!  Bring back Pac-Man!
