Local charity KatCanDo has once again demonstrated the power of community spirit by raising £5,963 to purchase a much-needed ECG machine for the CDU unit at Frimley Park Hospital.
The specialised electrocardiogram (ECG) equipment will allow medical staff to monitor patients’ heart activity with greater precision, improving diagnostic capabilities and ultimately enhancing patient care for those with heart conditions.
Anthony Kerslake, Head of Fundraising at Frimley Health Charity, expressed profound gratitude for the donation:
“We are incredibly grateful to KatCanDo for their tremendous fundraising efforts. This generous contribution demonstrates the power of community—people coming together to support their local healthcare services. Their dedication will directly impact patient care in our CDU department, and we cannot thank them enough.”
KatCanDo, known for its dedicated focus on supporting cancer treatment facilities and services, expanded its mission to include this vital cardiac equipment after recognising the urgent need within the hospital.
This latest contribution continues KatCanDo’s impressive legacy of support for Frimley Park Hospital, reinforcing the vital role that community-based charities play in supplementing NHS resources and ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
