“In May 2020 after suffering with breathing issues and being unable to walk, eat and sit up. I was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease, Polymyositis – which attacks your muscles. I found being in hospital incredibly hard but felt very privileged and humbled with the incredible care I received by truly amazing people, who did so much to make my stay as easy as possible, especially during a global pandemic. Without their help and encouragement, I would not have got my life back and walked out of the hospital 2 months later. To say thank you to the staff who took care of me, I took part in both Run Frimley 2021 & 2022 and ran to raise money for the trust” – Caroline
We would be so grateful if you have secured your own place and wish to fundraise for us. It’s free and we just ask that you raise what you can to help us improve lives at your local hospital.
