The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is the Midlands’ biggest and best running event, with thousands of Brummie runners taking to the streets every year to challenge themselves and raise cash for charity. There’s everything you’d expect from a Great Run – notorious start line hype, top on-route entertainment and an event village that feels more like an after party – but the carnival atmosphere and the passion and spirit of the runners is all Birmingham. Expect inspiring sights, iconic landmarks and incredible support all along the 10k and half marathon route.
Please note, we have a limited number of places available on a first come first serve basis.
Charity places are at a hugely discounted rate of only £20 and we just ask that you kindly pledge to raise a minimum of £200 (10K) and £300 (Half), which we will be with you every step of the way to help you achieve and smash!
As a fundraiser of Frimley Health Charity, you will be supported throughout your challenge event preparations. Our Events Team will be on-hand to encourage you with your fundraising, support you with your training, answer any questions you may have and to thank you for all your hard work and support!
You will receive:
A free technical running top of your choice, Free merchandise, Expert fundraising advice and tips of help you get started, Materials to help you smash your fundraising target, Training advice, 1 on 1 support from the day you register to post-event, a Dedicated group chat with other FHC runners for support and more!

Every day, fundraisers like you are having a direct impact to improve our patients lives and by you choosing to ride and fundraise for us, we are as a result able to invest in state-of-the-art medical equipment, make major improvements to hospital areas for patients and staff and fund specialist training and research at a time when it has never been needed more, and for that we thank you!

In April 2019 Sebastian was born without signs of life and received life-saving care from the Special Care Baby Unit at Wexham Hospital: “He was born with no cries and no cuddles with Mummy, instead he was immediately hooked up to machines, where he received the best medical care possible by some amazing doctors and nurses. Against all odds, he survived, and is now the most energetic, beautiful little boy! I genuinely don’t think I could ever find words to show my appreciation justice, thank you just doesn’t seem enough! But from the bottom of my heart, I whisper a thank you every day. They are the reason he is here today, so to give back, I fundraised for FHC & raised over £5100” – Samantha

Once all of the hard work and excitement of your fundraising event or activity is over, you will need to send the money you have raised to us as soon as possible so that it can start helping patients feel even better right away. We recommend that you do this no later than 4-6 weeks after your event.
