The workshop, based at the EIZO Limited office in Ascot opened at the end of April and the team of professional sewers, had already produced over 300 of the garments. With plans to have more sewers on site soon, the aim is to deliver 500 gowns each day to local hospitals Heatherwood, Wexham and Frimley Park.
We were also delighted to pick up more scrubs loving made by a grandmother, who was glad to put her hidden talents to good use.
Anthony Kerslake Head of Fundraising for Frimley Health Charity comments “The charity is thrilled to be working with both the hospital procurement team and the team at EIZO, and are amazed at how the community of local seamstresses have rallied around to each create over 50 PPE Gowns a day! We are incredibly humbled by both team spirits and their professionalism. Thank you.”
