Murata Electronics donates £8,865 to our COVID-19 Fund

Last week, Peter Welford from Murata Electronics Europe B.V. UK Branch got in touch with the charity to make a donation towards our COVID-19 Fund.

Peter, the HR & GA Manager, UK said;

“Murata Electronics is pleased to be able to help Frimley Park Hospital at this extremely difficult time.  We really appreciate and thank all the staff there for their hard work and dedication, and send our best wishes and thoughts to all those affected by the virus.”

“We are pleased to be able to help in this extreme situation.”

Probably one of the largest companies no-one has ever heard of (!) with 70k employees worldwide, and we manufacture and distribute electronic components globally.  We have 400 staff in Europe where our main market is in automotive electronics and we have a growing market in medical equipment.   Being Japanese based, Corporate Social Responsibility is taken very seriously, and this donation is one of the 10k€ donations we are making to local hospitals in each of our 6 main European sites.

Anthony Kerslake, Head of Fundraising said:

“On behalf of Frimley Park Hospital, are absolutely delighted to receive your generous donation to our COVID-19 Fund.  It is really warming to hear that Corporate Social Responsibility is taken very seriously and I hope that our fantastic relationship together is only just starting.  Your donation will support your local hospital, Frimley Park, and its NHS staff just when they need it the most.”
