Can you help fund Complementary therapy at Frimley Park Hospital?

Can you help fund Complementary therapy at Frimley Park Hospital?

Cancer patients face physical and emotional trauma as they go through treatment.

Frimley Health Charity has always tried to help fund initiatives which make a difference for our patients.

complementary therapy means you can use it alongside your conventional medical treatment. It may help you to feel better and cope better with your cancer and treatment.

At Wexham Park the charity pump primed a complementary therapy position which proved such a great success that the Trust is now funding this role.  We are now fundraising for a similar position at Frimley Park for two years and at that point have again requested that the Trust take on this role should it prove as successful.

We are working collaboratively with local cancer charity KatCanDo who have already pledged £8,000 and are fundraising to cover even more of the costs.

KatCanDo have supported Frimley Park for many years and have donated over £150,000.

The total budget for this project is £30,000 with £22,000 left to raise.

There are many different types of complementary therapy, including:

  • aromatherapy
  • reiki
  • acupuncture
  • massage therapy
  • visualisation
  • yoga/tai chi

With the right therapy and our therapist you may find, as many people have with Michele at Wexham Park Hospital, that complementary therapies can offer much needed extra support – before, during and after your treatment for cancer.

If you would like to support this project to bring much needed therapy for cancer patients please contact our office:
