‘We are abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower for Frimley Health Charity because we want to raise funds for the Neonatal Unit!

We are being brave nannies and abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on the 17th August 2019 to raise money for the incredible Neonatal Unit at FPH. There is no doubt – they really do save tiny lives!

Louise’s Story:

My beautiful granddaughter Elsie-Louise was born at 28 weeks on the 17-08-2018 – weighing a tiny 2lb and spent the first 3 months of her life in the Neonatal Unit at FPH. Whilst under the care of the incredible staff on the unit, Elsie-Louise defied all odds managing to over come sepsis, life support, numerous blood transfusions, bleeds on the brain, chronic lung disease, her PDA and ROP. During her first few months at home, Elsie was frequently visited by the outreach team who managed to successfully wean Elsie off her home oxygen! She is still under the amazing paediatricians and is growing stronger and stronger by the day!

Sheila’s Story:

My gorgeous grandson Jack was born at 40 weeks and 5 days, when he was born he was lethargic and unable to feed. Jack was taken to the Neonatal Unit where he spent his first 2 weeks of life undergoing brain scans, genetic disorder tests and being tube fed. It was found that Jack had developed an infection and was treated with IV antibiotics. Jack is now a happy healthy 3 year old, all thanks to the amazing team at FPH.

Please help us support the Neonatal Unit at Frimley Park, we want to give back as much as we can in recognition of saving our grandchildren’s tiny lives – we will never be able to thank them enough!

All our Love,

Brave Nannies and Families’!
