Walk Frimley 2019
Walk Frimley is a charity walk to raise money for the Frimley Park Hospital Stroke Appeal on Sunday 29th September.
The event is comprised of a 10k walk around the Frimley area, starting and finishing at Frimley Park Hospital.
Every participant will get a finishing medal!
New Event for 2019
This is the first walking event for some time at Frimley Park and it’s long overdue a revival. We have carefully selected a route that takes you around the local area on a mixture of paved roads and public footpaths. It’s reasonably flat with no major obstacles to over come.
This is a self guided walk with a map and directions handed out to each walker or each group. Where we feel you may need a hand to stay on the right path, Frimley branded arrows will point the way.
Raising money for stroke patients at your local hospital
100% of the money raised by Walk Frimley will go to the hospital’s Stroke Appeal to support the development of our Stroke Unit into one of the best in the country.
We have set ourselves a target to raise £1,070,000 and the Trust has given us £320,000 to start things off.
We have now raised over £870,000, so we are getting close! If you join the walk you may help us to get to our finishing line.
The money will be used to:
- Extend the space in the Stroke Unit.
- Provide a better area for recovering patients to spend time with their families away from the main wards.
- Receive a wider range of complementary therapies that aid recovery.
- Provide more of the latest equipment that helps to speed recovery.
