Wexham Park Angiography
Help patients get the best possible care
Your donations will support patients on their long road to recovery through investment in new technologies, equipment and family friendly facilities.
Your support will help the Angiography at Wexham Park Hospital
Angiography is a test that uses an injection of contrast (X-ray ‘dye’) to visualise the coronary arteries of the heart using X-rays. The test shows if the arteries have narrowed and helps decide what management the patient requires in the future. Here we provide cardiac interventions and device implantation. It can be used to help diagnose or investigate a number of problems affecting the blood vessels, treatments and procedures offered include;
– Diagnostic angiograms
– Angioplasty and stenting
– Permanent pacemakers
– Implantable defibrillators
– Cardiac resynchronisation therapy
– Transoesophageal echocardiograms
– Temporary pacemakers
– Primary angioplasty service with direct access for paramedics
The charity’s goal is to provide equipment and services that go beyond the NHS for patients, staff and visitors. We work hard with the hospital to ensure that the charity is not plugging the gaps. What you are helping to provide genuinely enhances the healthcare available to the local community in a way that would not otherwise be possible.
The charity pays no VAT on medical equipment, so your money goes further to provide the kind of specialist equipment that makes such a difference to people in their hour of need.
